Join Me for the Day & Learn !
We can always learn from those who have gone before us, and since I've been in the traps for a while now, I thought I'd fling out a rather condensed, simplified opportunity for those who'd like to add a few strings to their bows. In July, I am hosting a one-day workshop for aspiring and current wedding photographers at the stunning Mosaic Private Sanctuary near Stanford in the Overberg. Of course, it is a little out of the way, but it really is worth the trip. Aside from the staggering scenery (the drive alone is worth a million bucks), you'll also get to learn my incredibly straightforward, yet progressive approach to shooting weddings with a fine art feel.
I am a minimalist in every way, and my overarching theme will be to keep things simple. Mentally, physically, and creatively.
The full day course will include:
basic gear setup
natural light techniques
fine art composition
editing workflow (ACR + Presets)
live detail (table) & bridal couple shoot
All you'll need is your DSLR, a wide lens (eg. 24-70mm), a fixed focal length lens (eg. 50mm) and your off-camera flash. Oh, and a notebook. My aim is for you to leave the course feeling refreshed, invigorated and inspired to make your own "simplified" fine art in the months ahead.
The cost is R5,000 for the day, which includes the e-presentation, my favourite ACR presets and a famous Mosaic lunch!
A maximum of 20 seats are available for this one, and it's totally doable from Cape Town and surrounds!
Of course anybody else is is welcome too!
